Bio Credits Links Agent Info Minibio from Meridian's site : Born in Manchester in 1941, David Warner survived a troubled childhood and joined an amateur dramatic company in Leamington Spa at the age of 16. He subsequently gained a place at RADA and won his first movie role in 1961 when director Tony Richardson cast him as Blifel in the multi-Oscar winning film Tom Jones. An invitation to join the RSC followed and made him a major star. From 1962 to 1966 his acclaimed performances included roles as Richard II, Henry VI and most notably as Hamlet opposite Glenda Jackson's Ophelia. David has since returned to the movies. Beginning with his 1966 performance in Morgan, A Suitable Case For Treatment opposite Vanessa Redgrave, he has starred in numerous films Straw Dogs, Cross of Iron, The Omen, Time After Time and Titanic. For the last 18 years he has lived and worked in Los Angeles, returning to his home country to appear in such TV productions as The Choir and Uncle Vanya for the BBC. David attended eight school and "failed his exams at all of them". His parents separated when he was a teenager and he only saw his mother again seven years later -on her deathbed. After a series of odd jobs, he was accepted at the Royal Academy Of Dramatic Arts (RADA) where he was very unhappy. After RADA, he became a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company and got the part of Blifil in "Tom Jones".
